MELGES TOUR 2009

The basic idea of the project is to bring an affordable strict one desing racing in modern sportboats into the Czech Republic.

As of the beginning of the year 2007 we are running a fleet of 9 brand-new excellent sportboats Melges 24. We have decided for this class mainly for its attractiveness on international field (119 boats participated at Worlds 2006), which gives to all participants of the project the opportunity to race on the most popular one desing sportboats in the world.

Melges tour is a project for 9 teams, racing on 9 one desing sportboats Melges 24, in series of 5 regattas. The boats will be assigned to particular teams for particular race in a way that all teams sail aproximately same time on every boat throughout the season.

We give the czech sailing not only top professional boats of the highest possible sports level, but also corresponding service. For the racing all boats will be equipped with equally old components. There will be a team especially set up to look after the project, that means boats service, transport and complete regatta preparation. When your team arrives to the regatta venue, the boat will be race ready, fully equipped and functional. The only thing you will have to do is sail out on water.
