Entry fee

Entry fee amounting to 250.000 Kč (ex. VAT) for a season involves:

• Participation in five competitions held in the Czech Republic
• A new spinnaker in team colours or with a logo
• Transport and a complete pre-race preparation of the boat for all events
• Insurance, repairs and storage of a boat
• Five-day practice on a supplied boat
• Regular renewal of material: a new spinnaker every year, other sails every second year
• 50% discount on every charter realized on our boats outside the Melges Tour 2009

Costs versus services

The financial policy of the whole project is basically built on the principals of operational leasing. The amount of the entry fee for all the races of the series is defined in such a way that in the mid-term period of time it is preferable for the teams to pay the fee rather than to have a boat of their own involved.

The entry fee also includes the possibility of using a boat for practice as well as renting it for a special price even for longer periods, e.g. for races in foreign countries. We offer an economical way of sailing new boats without having any troubles with service, insurance, storage, transport, repairs or after-sale. We optimize your cash flow and bring tax-reliefs.

The purchase and operating of the fleet of these top boats is a very costly matter. In order to maintain the prices mentioned above it is necessary to cover the project also from other different sources.

We also provide other commercial activities such as chartering of boats to sailing teams especially for regattas abroad, with a special offer for participants of the Melges Tour. In addition, the boats will be used within standard services for companies provided by YFA such as teambuilding events, or staff reward days. Part of the fleet may also be used for sailing billboards.
